      Today is 2/28 the last day of black history month for the year 2013. #DidYouKnow Black history Month was literally just 1 week ?       There once was a week in February dedicated to Negroes known as "Negro History week". This was a short period to reflect on what you've learned over the past year. A man by the name of Carter G Woodson is the reason we have Black History Month. He figured since Frederick Douglas  and President Lincolns  birthday were both in the month why not dedicate an entire month to the history of Negroes.  "If you start from slavery , everything from that point seems like a accomplishment"-Carter G Woodson  This entire theory of having one particular month set aside to discuss the history of Negroes is a very touchy issue.              Tuesday LAPD sent America in a frenzy as they closed in on Christopher Dorner. According to reports they had him boxed in at a cabin in Black Bear California.  Dorner allegedly tied and bound a couple in one of their cabins, stole their car and barricaded himself in a cabin near by  when Officers started to close in on him. After  2 officers were shot one injured and one dead authorities moved in on the cabin. They claim they hit the cabin wit tear gas and flash bombs and in result an explosion occurred and the cabin went up in flames. According to the owner of the cabin that  Dorner was said to have occupied, the cabin was powered by propane which may have caused the explosion.                 There are many loops and holes to the this story already.
