Super Bowl XLVII 2/3
So last night was the 47th Super bowl. Baltimore Ravens against the San Francisco 49ers, they gave the public a good intense game. All bets were on Baltimore for the first two quarters. At the beginning of halftime the score was a whopping 21-6 Baltimore up. So you can say that there was no doubt that they were going to win. Then after Beyonce's amazing performance, things changed a bit.
Right after the halftime show the Ravens scored a 108yd touch down. Fans thought it would be completely over for San Fran after a move like that but then the power went out. Literally full fledged black out in the middle of an already intense super Bowl game. Ironically power was restored on the ravens side but officials had trouble restoring the power on the 49ers side of the field. Fans went to twitter and instgram with plenty allegations of it being fixed and maybe even someone form the 49ers went as far as shutting the lights out.
The black out lasted about 15/20 minutes. And just like a miracle, San Fran came back. They scored 17 points withing the first 4 minutes after the black out. Fans were screaming conspiracy. Stating that the black out was staged to throw the Ravens off their game. As crazy as it sound it wasn't hard to believe. The team who was just down by 18 points has now come back. It began to look more like a game and less like the slaughter we were watching.
After a few over thrown passes and uncalled plays Baltimore finished the game 34-31 and went home as the Super Bowl Champions of the World. Congrats to The Ravens . Most important congrats to Ray Lewis. A couple months ago he announced that this would be his last season as a Raven. It seems like every sense that announcement things have been nothing but great for the Ravens.
Now that's how you retire!!!!!!!! He can officially say that he went out with a bang. Now many may argue that the game was fixed, How football is all politics or what have you. But you can't substitute greatness. What Ray Lewis has done for his team is remarkable. What his team has done for home is even more remarkable. Salutes to Ray Ray for going out in style and may he continue to prosper in what ever it is that he chooses to go on to from here.
