Forever Doesn't Last

I was listening to Pandora when a song with the title " Forever Doesn't Last" by Jazmine Sullivan came on.That  got me to thinking . Can forever really last in our generation?

We live in a generation where you have 100 likes and unlimited number of comments that have an affect on your relationships. Relationships don't have the same units for a foundations in this day and age.

These days, relationships are based on sex, material things, financial status and the overall the approval of others .

What ever happened to a relationship being based upon one thing , LOVE? Some may argue with the introduction of social media Real Love got lost in the likes.

It is no longer  a "buy me flowers to show you truly care" society.   It has  become a "take me on this date because twitter says anything less than a $200 is not right"  or "buy me this item so I can post it on IG ".

Where have we lost ourselves?  Dates are no longer intimate outings to a dinner or a walk in the park where two get to know each other. Those dates are now accompanied by a status or a photo posted for the approval of a group filled with 95% of people who truly do not care .

When will real Love reappear?  Thought consuming I can't go a day with out you Love .

Love got lost when the idea of other options became relevant. Why post a pic for the benefit of likes from those who arent your mate ? When in a relationship the only approval  and admiration one should desire should be that of their significant other and their significant other only.

We live in a generation where Love is just another four letter word , loyalty has became just a cool tattoo idea, and morals and respect get overlooked for a few likes .
