Love and Hip Hop season 3

Monday was the premier of season 3 of Love and Hip Hop New York.  It was so much buzz about the new season and the upcoming drama but from the first episode it looks like the show fizzled in comparison with its spin off Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. Within 10 minutes of the show, tweeters were expressing that they felt it might be too scripted.  There are plenty new cast members; too many of you ask me. It seems like its just way too much going on. Too much drama to keep up with. The only original cast members from season 1 are Olivia, Yandy Smith (Jim Jones former manager) , and Erica Mean who is now being managed by Rich Dollaz. Mona Scott is doing the most with this season. So here’s a run down of the new cast mate. There’s Tahiry Jose, a video vixen and ex girlfriend of Joe Budden. Joe Budden, a New Jersey rapper who manages to stay relevant by exposing his personal life via social networks. There’s Racqi an insider who claims to be Joe Budden BFF and an ex friend of Tahiry. But you can tell by the way her eyes twinkle when she says Joe Budden’s name that she wants their friendship to be so much more. Rasheeda a natural bore go-getter also a friend of Tahiry. You have Winter; you guys might remember her from season 2. She was the girl that told Emily B to suck it up and accept the fact that Fib was going to cheat. There’s Jen and Saigon who are battling with religion with in their relationship, so that should be interesting. And of course you have Yandy Smith and her boyfriend of 6 years , Mendecee. 

As you can see this season will be very interesting. Here’s a brief recap of the first episode. Joe calls Tahiry up for lunch, to pretty much bury the hatchet. He believes that they should still be able to carry on a healthy friendship although they are no longer in a relationship. It opens up with Tahiry discussing she and Joe’s relationship. Am I the only one who didn’t know they were together for 5 long years? Well yea they were and Tahiry felt that Joe was Thee one, but the relationship ended sourly. They meet up for lunch and the meeting goes sour quickly. Its clear that the two still have feelings for one another and Joe definitely still has the ability to push Tahiry’s buttons by laughing at her mid-convo. That’s when the date went South. The date ended with Joe wearing their drinks after Tahiry flipped the table and its contents into Joe’s lap. It was too much drama too soon. Everything from their dialogue down to their body language seems so scripted. Not to mention after flipping the table Tahiry walks off leaving her purse behind. Now what woman you know leaves her purse in a restraint with her ex? Especially after a heated argument? They eventually meet back up and agree to be friends at Tahiry’s job, she’s a waitress now. This whole need to be friends was pretty weird knowing that Joe is currently involved in a worldwind relationship with the beautiful Kaylin Garcia. Kaylin also makes a background appearance at Joe’s pool party.

Rich Dollaz is now managing Erica Mena. Rich isn’t only her manager but he’s also her Daddy, so to speak. They even share an on camera sloppy wet kiss. But leave to Rich they are just kicking it. Rick fails to tell his long time friend Olivia about his new relationship and when she finds out he down plays the situation with Erica as if it’s just something to do. The 3 get together for dinner and Olivia breaks the news to Erica that she is only another notch on one of Rich’s expensive belts. You see Erica was under the impression that she and rich were really dated. The girl went and even got a tattoo of an “R” on her hand. So you can imagine how she felt when Olivia broke the news to her. Talk about a love triangle. I’m going to keep a close eye on the 3 of them this season it seems interesting.

Lastly there’s Yandy Smith, we get introduced to her boyfriend/baby daddy at their baby shower. His name is Mendeecee and he claims to have gone from a street dude to an industry dude, from Harlem. But honey, that Mendeecee has “Booty bandit” written all over him. Yandy baby that man is Gay. (No shade on the gays we proudly support the LGBTIQ community). How you doing Mendecee? (in our Wendy Williams voice) He leaves Yandy at her baby shower to go to the club with Vado. Leaving Yandy and her father to transport and store all the gifts they received at the shower. Now we all remember when Yandy was telling Chrissy how to hold her man down and etc. Well it seems to us that Yandy, you need help with that as well. There’s no way our man would leave our baby shower early  for one and for two not even help with the gifts, tah yeah right. Yandy needs to worry bout her own home first. She may have been so caught up in Jim Jones and Chrissy’s relationship that she lost focus in her own. The girl is in a Lesbianic relationship and doesn’t even know it. Lets see how many episodes it takes for them to break up. By the way Yandy gave birth to a beauty baby boy named Amir Harris.

As you can see there is a lot going on this season, we just hope we can keep up.
